COURSE: Bachelor of Design in Creative Media

I need to design and create ONE unique character by using the given sets of shapes. So I start with a rough sketch of own character and then use Adobe Illustrator to create the final design. The point is think wacky, think creative. And think of stylized designs that truly reflect my imagination.

●Idea sketches

                                                                            The shapes :

  I create own character imaging "jelly"  with using just two shapes, the Wurst  and the Drop. 

  To add the details, the "Jelly" has small body with wearing big jelly. I did not think about color, size and so on, but I am imaging that he lives in refrigerator secretly because he is coward. So he is covered with jelly to hide from people. 

 After the class (7 Apr 2021), I add some on this sketch. and I put color on. I was told that it need eyebrow such as feeling shy or coward and try the wurst to be the color such as jelly.

 And I tried change some part such as eyes, size and balance of the jelly.

 Then finally, I just drawn my own character like this. "Jelly"!

 So the next, I compose the background. He lives in the refrigerator, so I tried express the his size. And he is coward. So I tried show that he is in hiding from people. For this, I just confused that which is the true monster..... I mean that we are the true monster for him because I suppose we often open and close the refrigerator and select some and pick, then eat it with bigger body than him. It might be scary for him. In conclusion, each them could be the monster by how to see it....

So I finished it like this.

To add, these are same images without posterization.

 After I draw monster, I create the original card. Then I finished to create own game card.
