 Self-titled is an exploration project for the students to express their own individuality and reflect their personality into digital art self-expression.

 The main idea is to build up self-confidence and discover their interest.

 
●Biography about myself

- Tell us about yourself

I’m Sea Hirayama from Japan. I’m learning design for my future. Especially, I’m focusing on graphic and creative design. Actually I really like to create something and make some people happy with my design.

- What is your passion?

I have been drawing as far back as I can remember. Also, I have interested in foreign country. When I had entered high school, I could be a friend who always told me my art is his favorite. He and I always draw something after school no matter, if we were tired. He passed away at the age of 19, the situation made me sad, but I decided to go forward with his and my favorite things to do. So my best friend is my passion.

- What’s motivate you to achieve your dream?

 My best friend is. I can get over a tight situation by thinking his smile for my effort. He made me sad but, also made me positive as always.

- How do you want to visualize your dream into an artwork?

I think that some people show me their smile by feeling my art is my dream so far. I would like to express my feeling into drawing and creating some product. I just would like some people to enjoy art even if they don’t know art.

- Tell us about your work

I created in digital. I just wanted to put my all favorite things to show myself, so I created complicated and positive mood.

- What is the concept behind it?

I don’t want to be patient, just want to be myself and selfish. So for this, I didn’t select from a lot of things I’m interested in. Also, I want some people to feel freedom, so I lead by example to be selfish in art.

- What is the message you want people to understand it?

Living life sometimes make us stressful, so sometime we can be selfish without patience, shame and hesitancy. Actually, to be adult is hard thing I think, so I recommend to be like Peter Pan!

- What is your motto/ quote?

"I don't listen to what art critics say.I don't know anybody who needs critic to find out what art is"(Jean-Michel Basquiat)

●Idea exploration

 First of all, I thought about myself with feeling relax. I noticed that my favorite things are cats and nature that is why I sketch like this. And I put my face like this because I wanted to express variety emotions like mask.

 Before I fix them, it was difficult to compose well. So I just tried to add some image more and more to show complex design like my hands and part of nature.

 Then, I tried to fix them with Photoshop's effect after I finish compose all images. I wanted to show it like modern art, so I add it some filter.

●Final design

 I created this to express myself with being natural. As people have a lot of face, emotion and so on, also I have different emotion that is why I put three my face like this. It shows like the mask which I can select with my feeling. And for cats, it is just my favorite things. Actually, I always think about cats and flower, nature, too. I think that nature also made me free and relax. So it’s my favorite things, too. I like cats and nature as well as creating, so I tried to show it more modern and psychedelic.

 I focused on emphasis this time, so I just tried to make it simple movement because this design is kind of complex collage. Also, I got the advice for this design to fix the movement so I fixed it and add some masks. And I added the audio, too.

●Feedback from lecture

The lecture for this task, I thought that it was really good experience for me to get the skill and knowledge of Photoshop. I really enjoyed learning about skills for doing task.

●Brief reflections for this week

 I just tired of creating this design, but I enjoyed thinking about myself more deeply and felt little bit sad because the module gonna end. So I tried to enjoy it, more and more.
