Timeline

- Week 7

For this week, we just started with creating the final product after discussing about the details. Also we just clarify what materials we're gonna need.

Feedback
For this week, we got the feedbacks for the prototype and discussed about the final product. Also we just started preparing the materials for it and decided the date we're gonna working on this week.

Next course of action
We're just gonna continuing with creating the final product and after that, also we'll prepare some slides and information for the final presentation.

- Week 8

For this week, we created this art installation dividing as part to do such as deayils for coral, fish, waves and tree.

At first of all,  we prepared some parts for fish, coral and so on. After that, we put the color on with splay and discussed the composition focusing on the point which do not make too much complicated. This is why for the fish and coral parts is color full but also need to think about the position carefully.

After preparing the details, we also made the base shape, especially the tree and ocean floor with using the pipe, wire and paper. After we create the base, we put the blister packs on it and also put the color on with spray.

The point which we discussed a lot is how to create them stable. Especially around the tree such as wave and reeves. So we used the string, wire and hot glue gun which makes them more stable and looks not bad more than any materials.

Feedback
This week was really hard but also I think it was really nice experience to do some work with team members. This is why I could enjoy creating it.

Next course of action
Finally we have the dead line for the final project, final art installation design with the presentation.

●Reflections

Experience:
The project was undoubtedly a challenging experience, primarily due to the tight deadline. The limited timeframe put pressure on the group, forcing us to work efficiently and make quick decisions. However, this sense of urgency also brought about a great sense of camaraderie and teamwork. It was inspiring to witness how everyone in the group came together, bringing their diverse skills and perspectives to contribute to the installation.

Observation:
Throughout the process, we observed how each group member's creativity and imagination flourished within the project's constraints. The limited time pushed us to think outside the box, encouraging innovative ideas and unconventional approaches. We witnessed the power of collaboration as we brainstormed, shared insights, and built upon each other's suggestions. This collaborative effort allowed us to overcome obstacles and develop a cohesive art installation.

Findings:
One of the key findings from this project is the importance of effective time management. The tight deadline forced us to prioritize tasks, make efficient use of resources, and streamline our decision-making process. This experience highlighted the significance of setting realistic goals and allocating time effectively in any project. Additionally, we discovered that constraints can act as catalysts for creativity. The limitations we faced pushed us to explore new ideas and techniques, resulting in a truly original and thought-provoking art installation.

Furthermore, this project underscored the value of teamwork and collaboration. By leveraging each group member's strengths and perspectives, we were able to create a cohesive and visually captivating installation. The diversity of ideas and skills within the group enhanced the overall quality and depth of the project.

In conclusion, despite the challenging time constraints, the art installation project with the GSK Group provided us with valuable insights and a memorable experience. We learned the importance of effective time management, the power of collaboration, and the potential for creativity within limitations. This project not only allowed us to showcase our artistic abilities but also fostered personal growth, teamwork, and an appreciation for the process of creating art.

Better Than Shin-Pin: The Story of Recycling for Children, by Robert Broder.

This is the first picture book by the outdoor brand Patagonia. Through the story of a sea lion entangled in an abandoned fishing net and the children of Chile, the book tells about the dangers of marine pollution and the appeal of recycling. At the end of the book, data on marine pollution is included. The book is made of 100% recycled paper, which is recycled from used paper. The book allows readers to confront global environmental issues not only through its contents but also through the picture book itself. After reading the book, it is a good opportunity to discuss what is "much better than Shin-Pin" for you.

On the Beach 2," by Yogan Lehl.

This book is written by designer Yogan Lehl, who has lived in Japan for over 40 years since arriving here in 1971, and in 2006 launched the "Babaghuri" brand, which focuses on natural materials and handicrafts. The author's "last job" was a project to make lampshades from trash found on the beach. On the Beach 1," a compilation of this project, is sold out and unavailable, but in "On the Beach 2," flip flops rotting on the beach are compiled like specimens.

Plastic Reality and Ideas for the Future

It has been about 70 years since plastics were mass-produced and began to spread throughout society.
While it has brought great convenience and benefits to mankind, the material's properties of being insoluble in water and non-corrosive have had disastrous effects on the ecosystem.
In recent years, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has identified plastic pollution, including "plastic soup," as the biggest crisis facing the world.
In this book, we shed light on the current state of plastics and propose ideas for realizing a post-plastic world that should be promoted in the future.
