●Reflections

Experience :

 For this module, Typography, was really good opportunity for me to learn. Actually, I hated to design the type and think about composition of letters before I take this lecture by Mr Vinod and Mr Shamsul. When it's first time to attend the class of Typography, I just felt really nervous of catching up with it. There was kind of difficult assignment for me to do and actually teacher gave me advices without like a relaxation but, this experience made me more patient, hard and positive that is why I appreciated to the teacher and classmate who was around me. Of course, I felt typography is important things for design even if I hate it. To add, I enjoyed doing tasks with some difficult situation.

Findings :

 At first, enjoyment of creating typography. To be honesty, as I said I hate it, it was just hard time but this opportunity let me notice how interesting it is. Anyway, I got a lot of new knowledge of it with Adobe InDesign such as kerning, leading and so on. Especially, for composition of type, words was really took me many time. A little of distortion or lagging made it really bad to see. For this moment, I noticed that it was really needed to focus on a lot of parts of it as well as feeling better if I can make it fit, good composition.

Observation :

 So for these experience gave me a moment to think about what is typography. I just thought that it is art, it would be comprehended a lot of emotion by different people but it also has some rule to compose in good way to see it. So it is just difficult art things ever I thought. Almost of all, simple is the best that people said. I agree with it. However it is hard to express some in words, letters. This is my observation.
